Car will not lock

My 2006 hatchback will not lock or unlock with the remote key, the lights will flash with pressing either button and will set the alarm if I hit the lock button. But there is no locking, I can still lock manually with the actual key and on the inside. What should I do?

does it work with the power button on the inside or just manually? it might be your power lock fuse, or the actual computer for the power locks.
