A/C Bog Down

I knew when I got this car that it wasn't big on HP or anything but the other benefits outweighed that sacrifice greatly. my issue is the A/C. I noticed with it on and if I'm driving early in the morning, or later at night that the cars acceleration is really good. however, during the heat of the day, you can hear the motor whine to accelerate with A/C on. if I turn it off, the car takes off like normal. this is the only time it does it, during the heat of the day. I'm curious if anyone else has run into this or if this is common with the 2011 LT Aveo? thank you in advance for any suggestions.

When it's cooler the air conditioner compressor is not working is hard... When it's hot the air compressor is working harder... It takes power to run the air conditioner compressor, thus there is less power to put to the wheels.

thanks, makes sense. I was just curious if there was something I might have been missing that could be causing it.
