I gotta say, that looks pretty nice. The article also has some interior renderings too. I'm really liking the gauge cluster.
Quote:
With a front end that stays true to the RS, along with a set of bulging fenders and an artfully carved swage line, the 2012 Aveo is a dramatic departure from the budget-conscious model roaming the streets today. Coupled with a thoroughly revised interior, complete with upgraded materials and the RS' motorcycle-inspired gauge cluster, the Aveo has its sights set squarely on the new Ford Fiesta, particularly when it arrives in five-door form.

pretty nice IMO aswell.
cant wait to see more pics when it nears release date
Re: 2012 Chevrolet Aveo makes an early debut
not bad for a concept car. fairly aggressive.
just don't expect to see anything like it.
when it comes time, it will be dumbed down to save money and keep sticker prices down. it will most likely disappoint like previous Aveos.
the only exception will be that it out styles and maybe out performs the early to current Aveos.
You always get what you pay for.

I bet the body will appear as we see it here.
Differences will be in the details: wheels/tires (expect 14's / 15's, not the 18's/19's shown), ride height (expect it to be at least 2 inches taller), and front fascia - though this one looks reasonable for a production version (minus the optional fog lights).
But this sedan image looks like a *rendering*, not a photo.
I saw some spy *photos* of a next gen hatchback, heavily disguised, but the bodywork is definitely very close to the Aveo RS concept car. The differences are only in the details. I'll post it up.
EDIT: posted thread with Aveo hatchback spy photos
Re: 2012 Chevrolet Aveo sedan makes an early debut (with pic
thats a little more like it.
I must say however, i do appreciate what GM did with the front end on the newer Hatchbacks.
I'm sure its been beaten to death but how compatible would they be with the older models. I understand it would be the fenders forward but I am wondering as far as structure.
Re: 2012 Chevrolet Aveo sedan makes an early debut (with pic
you mean 09 up hatch front clip onto a say 06 hatch or sedan?
it was just a facelift, from my research of part numbers on the inner structure, it can be done. but nothing can be said how far you would need to go..

That car looks pretty mint! I would think about getting one for sure!
Re: 2012 Chevrolet Aveo sedan makes an early debut (with pics)
I'd still stick with the RS hatch... 1.4L Turbo w/6 speed transmission... Sick... 8)
