Aveo 2006 bucking/hesitation

Desperately need advice/help. Sorry for the long chat
I have a 2006 Aveo 88000km LS bucking/dead spot.
Hi everyone.
My 2006 Aveo was jerking on pull off, 2nd and 3rd really bad. It then started making a strange noise, took it to 6 different places, changed the front right wheel bearings didn't help, finally it was the catalytic convertor removed that then had to replace the exhaust as pieces of the cat had ducked through to the boxes. The exhaust isn't the original Aveo exhaust. Still didn't have any power, 40k up a hill. I took it to GM had to have my engine redone. I had the entire engine done, oil filter, fuel filter, engine oil, antifreeze, fan belt, Victor reins sealer, headset, thermostat, lifters, big ends, rings, headboard, water pump, cambelt, canbelt tensioner and tappet gasket cover all replaced.
Got my car back and it's still bucking, feels like a dead spot for a sec or 2 then drives fine this is intermittent. One minute driving fine then it bucks whether 4th or 5th gear. 3rd sometimes feels sluggish, like it wants to go but just doesn't get the power.
The place that redid my engine is a very reputable place and did a fantastic job they've rechecked everything but can't find the problem causing the bucking.
Anyone experienced this or can give some advice please. Driving me insane, I'm a mom driving with my son and grandson

Is it an automatic or manual transmission? If its automatic, have the shops looked at the transmission as a possible problem?

Are there any engine codes?

Hi thank you for replying, it's a manual. Before the engine was redone the O2 stats where too low, sorry I really have no clue about cars, that's when they checked my oil and it was like black tar. Also about a year ago we had a lot of rain and I drove through water that I didn't realise was deep, my car spluttered and jerked and eventually cut out. I tried to start it again for about 15-20 min giving lots of petrol etc, I don't know if i could have damaged something that wasn't replaced now when the engine was redone. I'm trying to do as much research as I can to try and figure out the problem, this cars been giving me problems for around 8 months. The bucking/jerking/hesitation is now the latest problem

I don't know what the engine codes where before they told me the O2 was too little, now they say there aren't any.

My 06 Aveo was doing that and I noticed rips in the rubber hosing under the hood and replaced them and it drives fine. Was getting too much air causing it to stall, buck, or die in various gears. I think there are three or four rubber hoses attached to black plastic tubes right by the air filter hose attached to the engine.
