How I fixed my uncomfortable seat.

Postby huganaveo » Wed Oct 28, 2009 11:39 pm

I just bought a 2009 Aveo and found that the drivers seat was not comfortable. I felt like I was slipping out of the seat. When I had the seat set for the length of my legs I was then reaching for the steering wheel. If I set the seat for the proper setting to reach the steering wheel then my legs were cramped up in the floor board. I fixed this problem by going to the store and buying new seat bolts that were an inch longer and an inch long spacer to put between the seat bracket and seat. By doing this it fixed all three problems I was having. :)

Hi huganaveo, welcome to aveonetwork.com. On the bolts and spacers you added, did you only add them to the mounts on the front of the seat? I've noticed this problem as well as I'm 6'3.

this is the first thing i noticed when i sat in the car for the test drive. just tilt the front of the seat upward, and the problem is fixed. This is a common problem with GM's, the cavalier, cobalt, and other models do this too..

i thought the problem got worse as you turn the knob to raise the seat. it seems it lifts the back of the seat more.
