Pedal Covers

Postby LarsBud » Thu Sep 17, 2009 8:27 pm

Well I got my new OBX GT-5G pedal covers in the mail today from Ebay. They look good!
So right after supper I went to work and installed them. I drilled and screwed them directly to the factory pedals so they will not come loose or move.
Here's the pics.

The kit comes with the dead pedal and yes it is screwed right to the floor.
I lift the rubber on the pedals, because the metal under the pedals is uneven. The rubber worked as a filler and spacer. With the screws tightened down everything is really tight.
These pedal are really nice quality, I can definitely recommend them and they are made in the USA.

then. i would check for the other side of the screws in the wheel well, wouldn't want to pop a tire on a sharp turn. Of course you probably dont rub like i do.

I would also undercoat and treat it so it doesnt rust.

looks good though.

The screws only went into the subfloor and did not pass all the way through.

The only reason I would consider new pedals is because I have a manual tran and when my feet are wet the clutch pedal squeeks everytime I shift... can get real annoying real fast.
