Driver seat
Driver seat
Hi guys, my problem is that my driver seat can't be adjusted in height and I don't sit as comfortable as in other cars I sit to high in the car. Is there anything I could do to make my seat more comfortable or lower it by 2 inches???

Re: Driver seat
thats going to be able the only way to lower the seat, unless we are losing something in a translation.
figure out the spacing to the floor and cross bar piece. And cut that amount...
well don't cut that amount, cut once and overlap and weld to that height.

I think that would be a bit drastic but I'll give it some thought or maybe I will buy some used seat, do you know at what value they go, used or new?

Just a little info about modifying your factory seat frame. There are strict safety regulations on car seats and frames. If you do any mods to a factory seat frame you may find yourself not covered by your Insurance if the seat fails in an accident and you are injured.

You may wish to look at some sport seats. Most of them you sit much lower because of there design.

Re: Driver seat
part of it to is the aveo is an upright design. people think that since stupid american like sitting in and driving suvs, that by making car that have you sit upright with your knees bent is a good idea. this is the basis of the high roof line on the aveo, even the fit and yaris are built as tall compact cars. So if you are sitting in it trying to be low slung. it will not exactly work.
